I've been shooting for Lido Living Magazine for quite some time and wanted to share some photos from few shoots. These are very low budget shoots. I have to create a portrait and a action shot with the athlete with very limited time. I personally always want to try something a little different to separate myself from others.
The shot below I used a panning technic, this technic takes lots of practice to be consistent. I shot this with my Canon 1DX 70-200 2.8ii. You have to focus on the face and pan with the subject while capturing the image. I converted this to black and white in Lightroom.
This photo below was taken at the NAC next to the Concept 2 rowers. I like the dramatic effect of this shot. I used my Canon 1Dx with the 70-200 2.8ii. I set up one Paul C Buff Strobe with a umbrella on it.
This is a portrait of the same athlete used in the Magazine. I really like the dramatic portrait that was chosen from this shoot. This was shot in perfect day light. I accomplished this look with my camera settings. I love this kind of look, one of my favs.
My favorite set up is the Canon 1Dx with the Canon 70-200 2.8ii. It's so versatile and can be used on almost every shoot I have.
