Olympic Medalist Kim V.

I was blessed with the opportunity to photography Kim Vanderburge an Olympic Medalist in Swimming. She was the most down to earth person on the shoot and loved my Son Kai man! I shot this in a studio in Costa Mesa with a few other models in the same day. I used the Canon 1dx with the 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8ii tethered (with tether tools cord) to my MacBook Pro connected the 27inch Apple thunderbolt. I love shooting tethered!!

Here is a outtake from the shoot.

If you are struggling with things to shoot and need help getting started, send me an email and I would love to help. I’ll tell you all the things I’ve done wrong so you don’t make the same mistake. I feel if we all helped each other than this world would be a better place.

I love learning and trying new things. I feel a lot of people are afraid to try new things and step out on a lim. It’s totally ok to fail. When you fail you learn from those mistakes and take away more than you would if you never failed.

Never quit. I have a plaque that says “Never quit, never give up, ever” Follow your heart. Trust that God will never fail you. Believe in yourself, it’s hard to take that first step of faith and put yourself out there.
